Location: The Essex County Sheriff's Department - Middleton Jail, House of Correction, Essex County Pre-Release and Re-entry Center, Women in Transition Center, and Office of Community Corrections Centers (OCC) in Salisbury, Lynn, and Lawrence, MA

Schedule: To meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week, travel to multiple sites, and accept/respond to work related communications after hours and weekends

Pay rate: $95,000 annually

The County Administrator is responsible for:

• Providing administrative/operational leadership and oversight of substance use disorder treatment services to justice involved males and females at multiple locations under the jurisdiction of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. Service locations are the Middleton Jail and House of Correction, Essex County Pre-Release and Re-entry Center, Women in Transition Center, and Office of Community Corrections Centers, (OCC) in Salisbury, Lynn and Lawrence.
• Personnel functions, serving as the single point of contact for Sheriff’s Department officials, contract compliance and meeting and exceeding established operational benchmarks.
• Ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Office of Community Corrections standards and their interagency agreement governing the three ECSD OCC centers.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in criminal justice, human services, counseling, or closely related field
• Licensure/certification in a clinical discipline preferred.
• Three years of management experience is required, preferably managing multiple sites concurrently.
• Must be able to travel throughout Essex County - driver's license and own vehicle required.
• Based on a mandate from Massachusetts Department of Corrections, any Spectrum employee working in a MA DOC facility or pursuant to the MOUD Contract must be fully vaccinated and no exemptions are permitted.
