  • £22,369 - £24,054 per annum (pro rata for part time staff)
  • 37 hours per week or Part time available
  • Permanent

We currently have a number of vacancies to join the East Suffolk Council's Anglia Revenues and Benefits Team as a Council Tax Billing Officer.
Your role
Are you an enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn? If so, we would like to hear from you.
Be part of our successful Council Tax team to compile and maintain client records, verify eligibility for reductions (including Local Council Tax Reduction Schemes), make amendments and set up billing, collection of Council Tax. This will include daily telephone communication with the public and various Government bodies.
You will need:
  • to be a team player and can work on own initiative
  • great communication skills – written and verbal
  • to monitor client accounts to check payments received
  • excellent customer service skills
  • to accurately update computer systems and records
  • keep up in a fast-paced partnership environment
  • liaise with other departments, Citizens Advice and Department for Work and Pensions
  • the ability to work from home
  • to travel, when required, to Thetford for training although a full programme of remote e-training is currently in place
  • above all, enthusiasm.
