Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant will quote, create and manage bids for customers and will be responsible for margin analysis. This role will work with the accounting team to analyze deductions, prices and bids.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
• Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
• Apply costs to the bid process used for pricing finished good.
• Developing the process for managing bids
• Analyzing cost standards and Sales margins for all finished goods.
• Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis,
• Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, Sales ect
• Performing account reconciliations
• Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
• Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
• Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data
• Supporting other company accountants as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as a controller or cost accountant
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to make precise decisions and communicate effectively
