Port St. Lucie Rehabilitation and Healthcare is now hiring a Cook to become part of our Dietary Services Department. The hired candidate will prepare and serve food items or meals for residents and facility staff, perform safe food prep and handling, follow recipes and maintain a clean and safe work station, manage food inventory and perform other duties as assigned or as directed.

Shift Available: PT 11:00am-7:30PM

· High school degree

· Short-order cook experience and/or prior experience working within a long term care environment, preferably a nursing home.

· Knowledge of preparation of therapeutic food, specialty meals and modified diets.

· Familiar with food prep, storage and sanitation guidelines, Servsafe certification a plus!

· Team oriented individual with a "can do" attitude.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Cooks: 1 year (Preferred)
• Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Skilled Nursing Facility: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Night Shift (Preferred)
