Maher Services Inc. - Controller Position

Overview:

Maher Services, Inc. is New England’s leading water supply contractor. We find, develop and deliver this essential resource to municipalities and large waters. We are looking for a highly detailed and motivated individual to join our team as a hands-on Controller. The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting, HR and office functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, accounting, & work with outside firm
• Prepare all financial analysis and develop financial planning with management
• Preparation and review of annual, monthly, and quarterly financial statements
• Manage, report on job costing
• Manage cash flow and banking
• Ensure all tax filings, payments, and related administration is accurately documented and filed
• Manage accounting and HR/payroll staff as well as outside office vendors such as IT

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA or MBA preferred.

· 5 years’ experience in public accounting or previous management / controller experience

· Critical thinker with problem-solving skills

· Good organizational and time-management skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Self-starter who is able also to able to work collaboratively and able to direct others.

· Knowledge and experience with accounting software – Foundation Software a plus.

· Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with a proficiency in Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
