Job Summary:

The ideal candidate for the position will have a strong background in industrial and commercial construction with knowlege and experience with building codes and practices in Florida. Job sites will require travel up to 70% of the time within Florida and may require travel outside of Florida from time to time. Strong consideration given to applicants who live in the Northern Florida area and have experience working in the construction industry in the Florida market. This position will involve a combination of working in the field and remote office setting, therefore multi-tasking and organization are key to being successful in this position. This candidate will be expected to help increase new business opportunities and maintain good relationships with existing customers. Ability to multi-task which includes utilizing technology at your remote office and while in the field. Lastly, we would like the candidate to oversee, monitor, and ensure efficient and quality-minded services, development of employees, and enforcement of all company policies. Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent ABR in a professional and dignified manner.
  • Oversee ABR branch operational activities within the area of responsibility - directly supervises all employees in branch operations.
  • Responsible to ensure that the branch maintains profitability.
  • Market ABR services and products.
  • Recruit, train, and develop successful employees.
  • Works with Regional Manager in settling customer complaints, resolving conflicts, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager on sales and estimating, business strategies, sales development, and market penetration.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with Regional Manager to hire and train branch employees on ABR policies and procedures to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Responsible for all branch accountabilities, such as scheduling efficiency, job budgets, ordering and acquisition of material, job profitability, Project Trackers, safety meetings, branch employee paperwork, etc.
  • Audit branch operations and employee performance on a routine scheduled basis. * Perform reviews on branch employees’ performance - evaluate the strengths and weaknesses - take corrective action as needed.*
  • Have a working knowledge of all jobs contained in the branch Smartsheet Trackers. * Work with Regional Manager to meet with, develop sales, and create relationships with existing and prospective customers.*
  • Perform job walks and reviews, inspect the equipment, etc.
  • As requested, help in estimating projects at the direction of the Regional Manager.
  • When requested by Regional Manager, assure that all estimates are completed on a timely basis.
  • Oversee and track projects, ensuring profitability, timeliness, quality of services, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the timely review and accuracy of timecards, including per-diems, mileage, and other related expenses.
  • Responsible for working with Human Resources in the compliance and oversight of state and federal guidelines as well as adherence to policy and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and any other policies or provisions that HR implements.
  • Make sure ABR materials and equipment are properly stored and protected

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

2. Provides orientation and on-the-job training for subordinates and ensures that the authority and responsibility for each position are defined and understood.

3. Ensures that duties, responsibilities, and authority and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of industrial/commercial experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills
  • Truck or other transportation used in the construction field

2. Participative management type - advocates team concept - willing and able to work in the field as necessary.

3. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature.

5. Good communication skills, written and verbal.

6. Results oriented with the ability to balance workload with administrative requirements and all business considerations.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
