Essential Functions and Objectives:

Responsible for maintaining the operational and transactional responsibilities of the department. Manages the coordination of day to day activities of a specific business function. Primary emphasis is achieving results by building engagement and empowering their teams. May have exposure for district wide initiatives.

Responsible for supporting DPS with the expansion of concurrent enrollment opportunities (including Early College, ASCENT, CTE Pathways, CareerConnect and others as appropriate) This position will manage the daily operations, such as supervision of Concurrent Enrollment Liaisons, preparation of program documents, event planning and coordination, leading concurrent enrollment discussions with college partners, and managing the flow of information in Denver Public Schools and the Community College partners regarding expansion.

- Develop district-wide systems to provide support for students enrolled in concurrent enrollment programs.

- Work collaboratively with OCCR and district programs to ensure alignment and effectiveness of the program.

- Develop and implement systems and structures for reporting readiness criteria and alignment with new graduation requirements.

- Lead district wide assessment strategies in collaboration with College & Career Readiness Program Manager.

- Manage internal and external communication regarding concurrent enrollment to ensure consistency in messaging.

- Oversees the daily operations and assignments of college liaisons as it relates to concurrent enrollment program implementation with high schools and college partners.

- Lead financial management system of concurrent enrollment billing including college partner invoicing processes, payment systems, school based invoicing, budget monitoring of $1.5 million, etc.

- Develops and maintains processes and documentation on data collection and data resources. Develops district wide concurrent enrollment scheduling systems procedures.

- Ensures proper district course transcription of college courses.

- Manages semi annual audits as it relates to concurrent enrollment programs.

- Works with school leaders and college partners to effectively create and communicate concurrent enrollment goals and program outcomes.

- Performs other related duties, including special projects, as required or requested.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Two (2) or more years of of relevant experience required.

- Experience working in a high school, district, and/or college setting focused on concurrent enrollment and/or College & Career Readiness.

- Knowledge of DPS, community and demonstrated communication and persuasive abilities, including verbal, written and presentation skills.

- Demonstrated computer skills including extensive experience working with operating systems including Windows, Macintosh, and other proprietary systems.

- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

- Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail/

- Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.

- Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources.

- Ability to motivate and influence others.

- Ability to effectively lead a team.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and Google Suite.

- Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel.

- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.

- Knowledge and understanding of the Colorado Concurrent Enrollment Programs Act and other appropriate state and local policies, preferred.

- Self-directed and highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks and deliver on-time results, preferred.

- Uses data to inform effectiveness of processes, preferred.

- Keen awareness of sensitive nature of work and the need for confidentiality, preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within a team environment and to motivate others, preferred.

- Experience with student reporting systems including infinite campus, Banner, etc. preferred.

- Ability to meet deadlines with reports, preferred.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree required.

- Master’s Degree preferred.
