North Houston company seeking a dependable individual to join our team as a CNC Lathe Machinist for day shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to perform set ups including; machining and setting up proper fixtures for work piece machining a plus
• Able to operate lathe machines with Haas controls
• Material prep and saw cutting metal
• Maintain equipment including machines and measuring tools
• Keep work area organized, safe and clean
• Read, comprehend, and understand drawings, sketches, and verbal/written instructions
• Use standard machine shop measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparator
• Continually demonstrate the ability to set up and run close tolerance machined parts of carbon steel, plastics and stainless steel using standard shop machine tools
• Other duties as assigned
• Must be able to hold tight tolerance within (±.0005)
• Experience on Haas Mill is a plus

• Must be able to_ operate_ lathe machines with average level of complexity
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and written/verbal instructions
• Must have basic general machine shop mathematics
• Must possess mechanical aptitude skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience preferred. Experience with Haas machines preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
