The Clinical Trials Analyst is responsible for development of a comprehensive coverage analysis of ongoing research studies conducted at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC)/ Nebraska Medicine (NM) providing appropriate documentation to support billing to patient/provider for charges expected to be standard of care vs. billing to research grants for all study related charges. Translating that information into an accurate study budget inclusive of all charges and labor and negotiating with outside sponsors for payment to the institution for participation in research studies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a science related field or clinical trials setting with exposure to medical terminology required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, healthcare, business or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (One year of education equals one year of experience) required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent time management skills required.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Independent problem solving skills and self-directed work experience required.
  • Ability to lead, develop and effectively contribute to project teams required.
  • Ability to demonstrate competent leadership skills required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required to include reports, publications and professional presentations required.
  • Ability to read scientific protocols required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Health care compliance experience in Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations or clinical research administration to include planning and budgeting preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, or a scientific related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Publisher, Project and Visio preferred.
