Meridian is looking for a Clinical Supervisor to oversee our Women's Residential Unit.

$1500 Bonus after 90 Days

Position Overview:

The Residential Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the clinical team in the residential addiction recovery environment; maintains standards of professional counseling practice in accordance with policies and procedures; facilitating work-flow and serving as a resource for staff and providing team leadership.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties):

1. Provide clinical and routine supervision to counseling staff including performance appraisals;

2. Ensure that counselors provide a “welcoming” experience and exceptional customer service;

3. Conduct case conference proceedings;

4. Attend all scheduled Program wide in-service training sessions; facilitate training for direct reports as appropriate;

5. Review and approve client activities, activity planning, and indirect therapy involvements;

6. Approve client passes and privileges as designated;

7. Provide clinical services as specified in Counselor job description, if warranted;

8. Schedule staff and utilization of group rooms;

9. Conduct weekly group supervision meetings;

10. Conduct monthly individual supervision meetings;

11. Prepare and conduct staff training activities;

12. Oversee monthly peer review systems;

13. Ensure that contract requirements are upheld by clinical staff and clinical programming;

14. Directly engage in milieu oversight, investigations and application of Therapeutic Community clinical and behavioral systems;

15. Participate in on-call supervisor responsibilities;

16. Attend and represent the company at community events;

17. Conduct file reviews, to ensure that all appropriate documentation meets contractual requirements;

18. Other duties, as assigned.

2. Case Manager(s)
3. Peer Recovery Coach(s)

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counseling, with possessing an unencumbered clinical professional license or certification in substance abuse in the State of Michigan without any pending or ongoing investigations. Master’s Degree in appropriate academic discipline with associated professional license.
  • CADC or CAADC required within 6 months of hire.
  • CCS preferred or willing to participate in development plan to obtain relevant credential.
  • Experience: Three to five (3 – 5) years’ experience in a therapeutic setting with emphasis on residential treatment.
