We IT Engagements is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide-range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions. We have an immediate opening for the below position with one of our premium clients.

Job: Clinical Contracts and Outsourcing, Procurement

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months contract

The successful candidate must be able to perform each of the following:

• Process invoices and resolve outstanding invoices by efficiently communicating with vendors and internal team members
• Collaborate with accounting/finance to ensure timely processing of payments through internal financial systems
• Research and respond to payment status request from suppliers/vendors and internal partners
• Take ownership to ensure timely resolution of invoice processing within 5 business days.
• Manage the flow of all invoice documents utilizing the invoice tracker.
• Support processing and managing of confidentiality agreements, consultant agreements, vendor agreements as needed. Capable of understanding contract and financial terms and conditions
• Update systems and trackers while collaborating on terms with internal stakeholders.
• Research and compare financial information using the contract budget and communicate discrepancies to budget owners.
• Maintain Clinical Operations shared drive(s) contract and folders as needed.
• Support ad hoc projects by manipulating spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and formats in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Learn and understand invoice schema, terminology and methodology
• Understand the legal and compliance environment and drive collaboration with the Legal and Compliance team
• Drive the spirit of "ONE Team" across all functions by supporting a team approach to focus on our patients and customers as our top priorities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited university program in Accounting, Finance or Business. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting (Managerial/Financial/Cost Accounting), and/or Contracts preferably in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
• Knowledge of financial systems SAP, or ERP to process and search/review contracts and invoices as needed
• Strong sense of urgency and keen attention to detail
• Ability to manage routine tasks without direction.
• Intermediate Excel skills with proven ability to create and maintain complex and dynamic Excel models. Show proficiency in developing tables and presentation formats in PowerPoint
