The Clinic Manager will oversee all clinical operations of the Amherst outpatient clinic including oversight and supervision of the clinical and nurse triage teams. Will ensure that all health care services are provided efficiently by maintaining excellent patient care and customer service within the clinic.

Essential Functions:

  • Directly supervises all clinical (RN’s, LPN’s and Medical Assistants), Triage, and Prior Authorization employees which includes, but is not limited to, performance review/evaluation, time/attendance, recruitment efforts, training and addressing disciplinary issues.
  • Responsible for identifying needs, resources, improvements, processes, etc. in coordination with the clinic leadership team under the direction of the Director of Operations. Assists with process improvements to ensure optimization of patient workflows (i.e. working with clinics on varying hours, departmental coverage, session cancellations, processes, availability, etc.).
  • Reviews current procedures and clinic policies on a regular basis for efficiency and adequacy; ensures staff are aware of these policies/procedures and educates staff on changes/revisions as needed.
  • Develops and distributes clinical staff schedules on a regular basis to ensure adequate staffing at all times.
  • Develops and distributes daily rooming schedules to all staff.
  • Delegates tasks/forms requiring completion through daily workflow review and ensures all tasks/duties are completed by staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Works with the clinic leadership team on any necessary improvements to workflows and/or patient issues under the direction of the Director of Operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring medical equipment used daily is running efficiently.
  • Monitors expenses and makes recommendations on reducing expenses.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings to address, implement and develop enhancements to improve patient workflows when applicable.
  • Coordinates the inventory for all medical and other supplies, as well as ordering as needed for the clinic.
  • Ensures that clinic is OSHA compliant; recommends changes, identifies training, reviews accidents and/or injuries.
  • Reviews and addresses daily tasks as assigned.
  • Acts as back up to all clinical and administrative functions within the clinic on an as-needed basis.
  • Adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program required, with Associate’s degree desired. Registered Nurse preferred with Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience providing nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ supervisory experience/clinical operations support required, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Experience with administrative positions and workflows strongly preferred.
  • Experience with staff scheduling required.
  • Must have strong initiative, excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with workflows highly desirable.
  • Electronic medical records experience required.
  • Currently licensed as a NYS Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:
