POSITION SUMMARY:


Serves as the interface between Dynamic Pain & Wellness and its valued patients. The Clinic Floater will learn and work all positions in the clinic to include front desk, medical assistant, and scheduler. Also provide general clerical support, such as scheduling procedures/follow-ups, handling HIPAA records, printing, photocopying, and faxing.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Coordinate patient scheduling, check-in and payments for billing.
  • Check patient insurance, demographic, and health history to keep information current.
  • Manage master calendar and schedule appointments for providers based on optimal patient loads and clinician availability.
  • Help patients complete necessary medical forms and documentation.
  • Adhere to strict HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.
  • Keep the waiting room neat and organized by stacking magazines, removing trash and cleaning glass.
  • They are to work closely with authorizations to ensure that the daily prep paperwork is accurate and that any additional patients to the schedule are authorized and the correct payment is collected for services rendered.
  • They are responsible for scanning all patient information into their charts in a timely manner.
  • They are responsible for the addition of accurate patient demographic information to the patient's chart.
  • At the end of the day, they are responsible for updating the Daily Collections log to ensure checks and balances of payments collected that day.
  • Ensuring that every patient has a photo ID scanned into their respective chart.
  • Communicating with medical staff to ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner.

  • Respond and document correspondence from insurance companies to verify patient's coverage.
  • Document patient medical information, chart histories and insurance details to facilitate smooth appointments and payment processing.
  • Take patient's vitals
  • UDS collection
  • RPM dispensing
  • Assign patient to exam room
  • Some travel may be required per clinic demand.
