Position Summary: The Childhood and Adolescents Clinician leads the team through a clinical lens to support child and adolescent wellness at critical stages of development in communities hit hardest by COVID. The clinician will provide preventive mental health and substance use screening, intervention, and linkages for all, with a focus on Providence, Central Falls and Pawtucket, although at times travel beyond these points may be necessary. This role networks with a larger behavioral health team within various agency departments, and coordinates with early childhood clinical initiatives within the health division. This position participates on the agencies after on-call system where indicated.
Qualifications:
- LICSW licensed by the RI Board of Social Work or similar independent license.
- Graduate of Board approved and accredited social work program or license equivalent.
- Training and expertise in infant mental health and attachment.
- Current and valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Bilingual skills are compensated!!
Continuing Education Requirements:
- As needed to maintain individual licensure and meet RI EOHHS and DOH standards.
- Completion of Introduction to Early Intervention course and other trainings when required.
- Maintain CPR/First Aid.
