POSITION SUMMARY

The Channel Marketing Assistant will assist in executing the Marketing and Sales plans and tactics for the company’s products and services to meet company objectives in the Mainstream (traditional grocery outlets) and C&SA Channels.

This is a temporary 3-month assignment with the possibility of extension.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist Marketing Team in executing short term marketing plans and programs and administration.
  • Track marketing metrics and navigate the channel’s information management tools
  • Assist with the communication between LKK Marketing and third-party agencies, vendors, and services. This includes, but is not limited to, Social Media agencies, Public Relations entities, and Designers
  • Provide support to the sales team for presentations, samples, sell sheets, Point of Purchase materials, in-store demonstrations, recipe books and cards.
  • Coordinate packaging materials (including label and carton design), artwork development, consumer communication artwork and other marketing materials through external designers.
  • Responsible for creating and finalizing key social media communication, including monthly posting calendar, and creative content development.
  • Review and adjust database for asset management
  • Process Marketing invoicing, credit notes and payments for promotional activities.
  • Perform numerous other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or working towards such degree.
  • No marketing background is required as training will be provided; however, an interest in sales, marketing, and general business is required.
  • 1 year of related work experience in a CPG industry is preferred.
  • The individual must possess strong communication and analytical skills.
  • The individual must be able to clearly communicate and interact with multi-functional departments including Zone Marketing, Sales, Accounting & Finance, IT, Production, Technical Services, R&D and Management team.
  • The individual must have the ability to work independently in cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Microsoft Office.
  • Able to balance multiple projects with high attention to detail and able to meet all the deadlines.
  • Comfortable in a professional, fast-paced, collaborative office environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • The individual must be able to apply basic mathematical concepts to complete daily functions.
  • The individual must apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers (computer keyboard use, cell phone use, office equipment use).
  • Employee is required to stand, sit, kneel, and walk when performing this job (visits to customer sites, to users, traveling in vehicles).
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 45 pounds may be necessary (moving products or samples).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The noise level in the work environment is light to moderate.
  • The position is often in an office setting, with some attendance to meetings/events outside the office.
  • This is an office-based position located at City of Industry, CA.
