Job description

· Plan and deliver a range of 6-12 grade programs and high-yield activities that are fun, engaging and instructional. Ensure members actively participate and receive caring supervision, respect, and recognition for their efforts. Provide feedback for continuous program quality improvement.

· Supervise program areas and uphold club outcome goals in an environment that promotes the health, safety and success of members; Manage behaviors according to the Club’s Discipline Policy.

· Promote physical and emotional safety, positive values and ethical behavior among members. Provide trauma-informed guidance to members; act as role model.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

· High School diploma or GED

· Experience working with youth

· Ability to motivate and keep youth engaged and effectively manage behaviors

· Ability to plan and implement quality youth programs

· Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.

· Strong interpersonal skills – interact effectively with co-workers on all levels as well as with teen members and community.

· Culturally sensitive and mission-driven in all interactions. Valuing diversity is a must.

· Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
