Job Title : Buyer / Purchasing Analyst

Location : Chillicothe, IL, 61523

Duration : 12 Months Contract (High Possibility of Conversion/Extension)

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Collaboration with internal and external suppliers both domestic and overseas. This will entail ship date collaboration of future parts as well as recovery of past due material.

Proactive communication of material shortages to peers and leadership.

Skills:

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.

Intermediate skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.

Strong organizational and time management skills. Ideal candidate must be able to meet deadline requirements.

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing/procurement.

Knowledge of supply chain management and processes

Previous experience with SAP Mach 1, MRC, Antares, GT Nexus, and transportation portals both global and domestic

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in finance, logistics, supply chain or a related business field required.

2-4 years supply chain related experience in leu of Bachelor’s degree.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

-Material Aquisition

Typical task breakdown:

Collaboration with suppliers and internal team, daily tasks including past due recovery, and exception reports

Education & Experience Required:

-Bachelors degree in one of the following: Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Marketing

-2-4 yrs supply chain experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree

Technical Skills

(Required)

-Intermediate in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

-Experience with SAP Mach 1

- MRC Experience
