Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Medicaid Eligibility Specialist assess whether individuals qualify for nursing home Medicaid. The Medicaid Eligibility Specialist may work with Medicare, Medicaid, disability claims and other government-sponsored programs in a manner that supports the Company’s philosophy and policies while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Review applications for various aid programs following the federal and state guidelines to ensure eligibility as needed.

Engage in communication with Business Office Managers (BOMs) and the State Medicaid office to follow up on facility applicants as needed.

Track statuses on applications and provide monthly updates on each account.

Provide support and guidance on Resident Trust Funds as needed.

Attend training, meetings, and seminars when necessary.

Support the BOMs in providing consultation, guidance, and oversight of the Medicaid application process.

Support the BOMs by providing consultation, guidance and oversight of any collection processes and support the Regional BOMs with orientation and training of the BOMs as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
