Description/Job Summary
RMF Engineering is looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to join our Client Relations Team! Attention to detail and team work are needed to execute all activities related to project pursuits and promoting RMF's services and capabilities. The Business Development Representative uses organizational skills and strategic thinking to drive the lead generation, positioning and teaming outreach throughout the project pursuit process to drive revenue growth.Primary Responsibilities
- Seek business opportunities for firm across all markets
- Spend majority of time outside the office to promote RMF and make contacts to develop and maintain a strong business network
- Track BD opportunities via Deltek Vision CRM database
- Research and gather intel on potential clients and projects
- Schedule meetings with new/existing clients to introduce RMF or gather project information
- Teaming outreach to architects, DB contractors and consultants for project pursuits
- Participate in industry meetings and conferences
- Actively involved in professional organizations related to the firm and its clients
- Work with technical and marketing staff to develop proposal responses
- Work with Division Managers to develop and execute BD plans
- Develop strategy around Federal Marketing approach
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, English, communications or related
- Minimum of 10 years related experience in the AEC industry
- Comprehensive understanding of the AEC industry
- Excellent organizational skills
- Persistent and able to follow through in a consistent manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
- Proven experience with BD in the Baltimore/DC AEC industry
- Knowledge of what MEP Engineering is and how it fits into overall project delivery
- Established business network in the Mid-Atlantic Region
- Familiarity with Federal, Healthcare and Higher Education markets in MD as they relate to AEC
