Job Summary:

The Sales Manager, Aerosols will deliver results by managing and growing existing accounts, as well as developing opportunities with new customers. This role is approximately 80% account management and 20% business development.

This position will own assigned customer accounts and will deliver customer satisfaction by working closely with customers to understand their demand forecast to be able to effectively manage our production plan. Additionally, they will build relationships across customer organizations, in support of effectively communicating Trivium's technical capabilities and value proposition to grow our aerosol and specialty threaded business. This position will report to the Director of Sales, Aerosols for North America. The ideal candidate will leverage industry knowledge and relationships to accelerate the growing impact our products have in delivering sustainable packaging solutions within the industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Account management, owning the overall account and management of the day-to-day relationship, including account planning, forecasting, customer allocation and production plans, inventory, etc.
  • Builds customer-specific strategies and customer account plans that identify key growth drivers, optimize the route to market, and drive value for both the customer and Trivium.
  • Organize and lead customer collaboration and innovation workshops.
  • Secure new business by commercializing new projects with new and existing customers.
  • Own the communication and presentation of our value proposition to prospective customers.
  • Manage sales pipeline and progress opportunities from discovery to contract, by responding to customer inquiries, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Lead or support long-term supply agreement negotiations, as needed.
  • Identify and capture key consumer and market insights, growth opportunities, and customer priorities.
  • Work cross-functionally across Trivium internal teams to ensure best-in-class customer service.
  • Partner with other account managers and support both new and existing North America and Global Key Accounts, as required.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly internal calls and meetings.
  • Ensures assignments meet established standards and deadlines.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and association conferences.
  • Identify and attend relevant professional development training.
  • Travel to customer sites and Trivium production facilities.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience within the aerosols category, or adjacent consumer packaging industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry, key players, and decision-makers.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions within customer and Trivium organization.
  • Highly organized and motivated self-starter
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to interpret, manage, and present data.
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office programs – PowerPoint, Excel
  • In-depth involvement in business strategy development as well as linking strategy to execution.
  • Experience in customer collaboration and joint business planning – how to work with customers to drive profitable growth and formulate business solutions based on customer insights.
  • History of delivering customer value, and working as a trusted advisor with clients.
  • Understanding of how aluminum delivers a sustainable packaging solution and drives growth for customers.
  • Ability to drive customer focus with key stakeholders at all levels within our organization.

Work Environment:

This is a remote-based work position and will require travel to client sites and to the production facilities as needed. This position will use a computer, cellphone, and other office equipment to perform the job successfully.
