Responsibilities
- Responsible for defining the product vision by breaking down the overall goals.
- Define constraints or boundaries for attaining the product goal and work to resolve with the development team and stakeholders.
- Develop Product vision, OKRs, and roadmap; synchronize it with the Product Family and clearly communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Scope the MVP considering existing resource constraints and sustained development of the product
- Define the business value for the Product and support messaging, communication and customer outreach as necessary.
- Build product backlog in terms of user stories, prioritize the backlog based on business value, and continuously keep the backlog up to date.
- Ensure the product backlog is visible and transparent to the project team with clear expectations on work priority. Team members should have clear understanding of the stories in the backlog and the business value they deliver.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders on a regular basis to gather feedback to help shape the future of the Product. Refinement of the backlog as needed.
- Raise dependencies and roadblocks with support of the Senior Product Owner and Project Team Manager
- Accept sprint results at sprint review and ensure the appropriate stakeholders are involved.
- Conduct/ participate in sprint ceremonies as needed.
- Attend team ceremonies (e.g., planning, retro) as needed.
Qualifications
This person should have some technical product background
Domain Expertise
Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the relevant business function (e.g., ITS)
Understanding and knowledge of various internal roles (client, business and technology) and how they interact with their product
Experience with the digital products / applications within the business function
Strong network and ability to influence decisions within the business function
Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business
Mindset & Behaviors
Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas – loves and embraces change
Believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust
Not afraid to “roll up the sleeves” and seeks to go outside comfort zone to learn – pushes teams to do the same
Agile Experience
Experience participating in teams in an Agile setting
Experience in backlog prioritization and grooming, writing stories, user testing, etc.
Individual Skills
Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor
Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders.
Strong problem solver with ability to manage & lead the team to push the solution & progress.
Strategic thinker capable of envisioning the future of the product.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $54,382.60 - $118,595.83 per year
