Job description

We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and experienced Dental Insurance Specialist for our busy multi-office endodontic practice!


**This is a position that requires dental experience.


We have offices in Fort Worth, Burleson, Mansfield, North Fort Worth (Alliance area), Colleyville, Denton, Frisco/Little Elm, Forney, Waco, & Willow Park. This position is located in FORT WORTH, TX off of Hulen Street.


Primary duties are -

  • Overseeing and communicating with all insurance companies regarding aging accounts, open claims, correspondence, secondary claims, and appeals in a timely manner.
  • Auditing input of patient information, account ledger, insurance claims, health history, financials, and scanned documents in software and server files for assigned offices for accuracy.
  • Insurance verification- when needed - Research and processes all rejected claims and resubmits with corrected information
  • Posting insurance checks and initiate insurance overpayment refunds, where applicable
  • Write off delinquent balances according to company guidelines and approvals
  • Generate weekly reports on assigned offices’ aging insurance and rejected claims
  • Generate monthly statements to patients for assigned Essential Endodontics offices
  • Generate list of accounts to be sent to collection agency.
  • Generate weekly log of task completed
  • Collaboration and communication with the office manager and front office specialist to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors.
  • Provide regular feedback to the office manager and front office specialists, such that treatments get noted and billed correctly.
  • Notify Credentialing Specialist in real-time when a claim is denied because the provider was not credentialed even though they are listed as a provider under insurance plan.


Additional tasks as assigned Skills and knowledge: -

  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • 6 months of prior dental front office experience required
  • Computer skills (Microsoft office) & Electronic mail correspondence
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Oral comprehension and active listening
  • Written and reading comprehension
  • Presentation skills when presenting a treatment plan and diagnosis to patients
  • Phone skills when talking with patients or referring doctors and staff
  • Must have knowledge of dental procedure basics and dental insurance
  • Team player
  • Professional appearance and attire will be expected at all times
