Bilingual Customer Service Representative
Point Comfort Underwriters, Inc. (PCU) is a fast-growing international healthcare administration and medical insurance underwriter. Founded by veterans of the international insurance and financial services industry in March 2014, PCU provides insurance plans, healthcare access and claims management services to thousands of non-US citizens living in the US, and US citizens overseas in over 120 countries.

The Customer Service Representative investigates, researches and resolves medical insurance claims presented by clients or providers by navigating multiple computer systems. Identifies, researches and resolves medical claim issues to provide a high standard of customer service.

Schedule is 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday in office, Hybrid (out of office 2 days) after trained and comfortable in position

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service to answer questions related to medical insurance coverage.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients to resolve medical claims using clear, simple language.
  • Build professional relationships with providers in our insurance network through resolution.
  • Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, accuracy, quality, and client satisfaction.

Job Qualifications

  • Candidates must be able to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent typing skills and working knowledge of Mac, PC and MS Office applications required
  • Medical coding and billing
  • Insurance Claims processing a plus

Qualified Candidates must comply with the following requirements:

  • Combination of at least 2 years of education (in a related field) and work experience (in a related field).
  • An education level of at least a high school diploma or GED is required
  • Familiarity with Mac and PC computer applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to multi-task, as well as the ability to understand and communicate details regarding multiple products and levels of benefits within each product
  • Excellent typing skills and working knowledge of Mac, PC and MS Office applications required
  • Knowledge of claims processing, medical and healthcare terminology
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license, and reliable transportation to work.
  • Good driving history. No DUI, OWI, reckless driving or other major driving infractions
  • No felony convictions, drug or weapons violations. No elevated misdemeanor violations.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a 10-year FBI background check.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a 10-year pre-employment background check.
  • Candidates must submit to pre-employment drug screening, and SDI anti-drug program.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Positive personality traits and attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
