Description:
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible to provide treatment that promotes resident dignity, independence, individuality, strengths, privacy, and choices. Ability to recognize obvious symptoms of a mental health disorder, personality, or substance abuse.
Job Requirements:

Must have or be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card

Valid Identification (Valid Driver’s License or Valid State Identification card)

CPR/ First Aid Certification

Must have negative TB test
-
A High School Diploma/GED AND at least one year of relevant experience in a Behavioral health setting

Must be computer savvy
Must have skills knowledge to:

Recognize obvious symptoms of a mental health disorder, personality or substance abuse

Assisting residents in performing activities of daily living
-
Provides complete documentation of ADLs, medications, vital signs, resident activities, intake / output, incident reports, progress notes and any other documents needed to comply

Provide Assistance in the Self-Administration of Medication

Recognize, prevent, and respond to a situation in which a resident may be in danger to self- or a danger to other

Read and implement a resident's treatment plan

Record and document resident information.
