Job description
As a barista team member, you will get to show off your artistic coffee skills while you handcraft delicious and creative coffee beverages at one of our beautiful barista stations. You will be trained by our head of coffee and our talented in-house coffee trainers.
Primary responsibilities and requirements:
- Greeting guests in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
- Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
- Answering guests questions about menu choices
- Being prompt, while offering amazing guest service
- Maintaining inventory full and equipment clean
- Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
- Consistency and efficiency working on the barista stations
- Delivering beautiful and artistic espresso beverages.
Your recipe for success:
- Strong passion and working knowledge for coffee, our products, and guest service.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista working in a fast-paced restaurant/café. (Highly preferred)
- Engaging, warm, and welcoming communication skills and presence.
- Desire and ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to travel to Newton Centre or another greater Boston cafe to train before our Wellesley cafe opens in early June.
- High School degree or equivalent required (where applicable)
- Summer and weekend availability required
