the girl & the fig in Sonoma is currently seeking an experienced Barista/Barback to join our team.

The Barista/Barback assists front of house staff by expediting miscellaneous needs, specifically by preparing coffee bar beverages and cocktails as ordered, running drinks to tables as necessary, and keeping service areas organized.

How you'll spend your day...

• prepare coffee drinks and cocktails by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
• maintain inventories by replenishing supplies and stocking equipment as needed
• assist in running drinks to tables as necessary
• keep service areas clean and organized
• perform opening and closing responsbilities

This job requires...

• minimum of 21 years of age
• ability to provide or complete Responsible Beverage Service Certification and maintain as current
• ability to provide or complete CA Food Handler Certification and maintain as current
• ability to multitask and stay organized
• ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Barista position or similar

Physical demands...

• ability to reach, bend, and stoop
• ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
