Luana Savings Bank is seeking an additional member of its Board of Directors to represent the institution on behalf of its general Central Iowa market. The Board of Directors is currently comprised of 5 individuals who oversee the conduct of the institution's business. The Board of Directors regularly meet monthly and are compensated for all regular and special meetings.

A Director should possess the following characteristics:

• From Central Iowa with a sound understanding of the local community and market

• Banking-related experience in a capacity such as:
• Prior financial institution Board of Directors
• Prior financial institution Executive, Management, or Personnel
• Prior bank-related vendor or relationship such as Accountant, Auditor, Examiner, Consultant, Legal, or other
• If no immediate banking-related experience is held, strong industry-related experience may alternatively include:
• Sophisticated agribusiness, financial planning, business or financial education, business or corporate law, accounting, or other alternatives

• Understanding of bank operations and principles
• Prior or current business experience
• Leadership skills
• Impeccable character
• Involvement in the local community

• Comfortable using technology for information sharing and access

General Duties

• Select and retain competent management;
• Establish, with management, the institution's long - and short-term business objectives, and adopt operating policies to achieve these objectives in a legal and sound manner;
• Monitor operations to ensure that they are controlled adequately and are in compliance with laws and policies;
• Oversee the institution's business performance; and
• Ensure that the institution helps to meet its community's credit needs.

Commitment

• Regular meetings held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7AM through midday
• Special meetings may be called when necessary

• Ongoing training required, most often online at one's convenience
• Document review and preparation prior to meetings

• Timely responses and engagement in correspondence in and out of regular meetings
• Meetings may be attended in Luana, Norwalk, or remotely
• Well-paid per meeting position
• Directorship is subject to background/credit checks and regulatory application process
