Position Summary:

George Wall Ford has a job opening for a Lube/Maintenance Service Technician. We are looking for an energetic individual who is looking to begin or enhance their career as a technician. This position is primarily focused on light repair but has huge potential for advancement.

This is an introductory position and can also be referred to as an apprentice technician. Our apprentice technicians are all trained by the same 20-Year Senior Master Technician. Training includes online courses administered by Ford as well as hands-on training with our Master Tech.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Estimated compensation is $40k - 65k annually based on performance and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

• Ability to receive constructive criticism while training.
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification preferred.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
