job summary:
2nd Shift Automation Technician located near Wonders Lake, IL for a leading industrial manufacturing organization within the medical device industry. This role is responsible for the setup of automation for presses or assembly machines. To be considered - H.S Diploma/GED with at least three (3) years' of Automation maintenance experience within a related manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Automotive, or related is preferred). Qualifications:
- H.S Diploma/GED
- Must have at least three (3) years' of Automation equipment maintenance experience within a related manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Automotive, or related is preferred)
- Knowledge of robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics and electric systems
- Able to read electrical schematics.
Preferred:
- PLC programming experience

responsibilities:
- Setup of automation presses or assembly machines
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various assembly, automation and mold equipment.
- Set up and debug new automation
- Check and adjust parameters during changeovers and note changes for update
- Replace worn equipment
- Design and fabricate small fixtures for equipment
- Assist QA with finding and implementing corrective actions from customer rejections.
- Maintain daily electronic log for each piece of equipment
