Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Automation Specialist for our manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama
Responsibilities
The Automation Specialist is someone that understands the wide variety of automated processes in our production and can quickly solve problems and fix issues with urgency. The automation specialist has to keep up with the latest processes and undergo training as needed. Be readily available in the plant to determine quick fix to keep production going.
Responsibilities
- Excellent technical background with a strong working knowledge of high speed automation in the industrial environment.
- Thoroughly understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, AC motors, drives and controls: and proven experience with and ability to demonstrate it.
- Must be self-motivated and able to take ownership of appointed task to follow thru to completion with little supervision.
- Previous demonstrated experience in the mechanical assembly of automated machinery or capital equipment.
- Machine building; mechanical assembly; field service.
- Ability to work from blueprints and schematics.
- Krauss Maffei injection molding machine experience a big plus.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Develop work plans for preventive and predictive maintenance.
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in a variety of software packages to include Word, Outlook, Excel and learn any other software packages as required.
- Must be able to build professional relationships and be a team player and maintain a high level or professionalism at all times.
- Be on call for any problems that have to be escalated to the managerial level.
