The Division of Legal Services (DLS) has an opening for a Legal Counsel within the Litigation Section located in Greene County.

What you’ll do:
- Support and provide legal advice to the Department of Social Services (DSS) and its divisions, which include the Children’s Division, the Family Support Division, and the Division of Youth Services.
- Maintain a diverse case load including Juvenile Court, Circuit Court, and Administrative Hearing cases.
- Perform case analysis, issue spotting, time/calendar management, and case load organization.
- Work with other DSS team members, such as investigators and social workers.
Minimum Qualifications: A Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution and member of The Missouri Bar. Experience in litigation and a background in juvenile, family, and administrative law is preferred but not required. Excellent research and writing skills are required.
Annual Starting Salary Range: $59,893 - $69,024 (depending on work experience.)
