The Role

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Associate Manager, Brand Marketing (full-time, salaried) will report to the Director of Brand Marketing for MotorTrend Group and support management and execution of brand marketing strategy across the organization from go-to-market planning and launch, through post-launch support and sustainment. Additionally, the Associate Manager, Brand Marketing will partner with teams across the company to help streamline communication and strategy to ensure alignment on priorities and provide support for other key initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be creative, highly collaborative, proactive, data-driven,able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support Director and other team members in the planning and execution of brand marketing strategies for campaigns, and other key company initiatives focused on driving brand awareness and equity KPIs.
  • Manage the planning and execution of assigned brand campaigns, projects including planning, developing decks and creative briefs, managing creative development and delivery, tracking, reporting, and analysis. Partner with creative teams and agencies as needed to produce best-in-class marketing materials and advertising creative including trailers and video assets, digital and social ads, content marketing pieces, linear spots, event activations, and print ads. Additionally support day to day tracking and management of marketing deliverables with the project management team.
  • Communicate clearly to ensure transparency and alignment on campaigns from launch and entire lifecycle, keeping a wide variety of stakeholders consulted and informed.
  • Be the expert on all assigned brand campaigns and programs to best plan and maximize communication, opportunities, and placements to achieve campaign KPIs
  • Analyze performance of all marketing campaigns to evaluate success and to regularly identify areas for optimization.
  • Analyze and follow market trends to share meaningful insights to contribute to marketing campaign planning.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will not include supervising one or more employees.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media, or Communications; MBA preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing for digital consumer products, subscription services, or apps
  • Experience working with established brands, ideally automotive or media
  • Experience, proficiency in, and passion for digital media and brand development

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent people skills – relationship building, impeccable communication, collaboration, patience and tact
  • Ability to support a fast-paced marketing team with a variety of marketing projects and needs
  • Proactive personality suited to handle responsibility, leadership and deadlines under pressure
  • Highly Detailed and Organized
  • Excellent communications (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to adapt and pick-up new tools quickly is a must
  • Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Extremely resourceful with strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to be a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide others when necessary with a proactive attitude, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt and pick-up new tools quickly is a must
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Suite are critical with solid presentation skills and an ability to clearly articulate strategy, objectives, tactics, analysis and results along with rationale

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in California. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of MotorTrend's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, MotorTrend provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
