Experienced Associate Attorney - Energy & Utility

Lloyd Gosselink Rochelle & Townsend, a downtown Austin law firm established in 1984, seeks an experienced Associate for its busy and complex energy and utility practice. The Firm actively advocates and represents public and private sector entities throughout the state of Texas before the Public Utility Commission (PUC), the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the Railroad Commission of Texas (RCT), the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH), and at all levels of state and federal court systems, often dealing with rapidly-changing utility and administrative law and matters of significant policy and regulatory importance.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with solid academic credentials, be licensed to practice in Texas, and 3-6 years of experience in administrative law, preferably in electric restructuring/regulation and compliance, including electric and gas franchise issues, electric utility rates, service and contracts, and aggregation of electric customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to hone their technical skills while receiving training and mentorship from partners with extensive experience.
