IOCP is hiring a full-time Assistant Manager for our Resale Select store! This is the perfect position for someone who enjoys retail, has a keen eye for style, and wants to make a difference in our community.

Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for keeping our store’s appearance fresh and updated by rotating, refilling, or removing merchandise. You get to design special promotions or events to increase sales, raise brand awareness and encourage repeat business. You’ll work closely with volunteers, welcoming them to their shifts and provide training. The Assistant Store Manager also helps monitor materials, supplies, the POS system, helps administrative tasks and supports our donation area.

Schedule-Pay-Benefits

  • In-person, full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule to be determined but hours will generally take place between 9:00a.m. – 7:00p.m., Monday-Friday, including one weekday evening and two Saturdays per month (with Monday off)

Responsibilities

  • Create a visually appealing store of incoming merchandise to promote an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
  • Welcome, support and direct volunteer staff throughout the day, filling in critical positions when needed.
  • Coach and empower volunteers so all guests have a warm and positive shopping experience.
  • Assist with the web-store day to day operations and client services transactions.
  • Support our food shelf with receiving donations.
  • Open and close out cash registers with accuracy, understand our Point of Sale (POS) system and troubleshoot technology problems for volunteers.
  • Address customer complaints, client needs, or volunteer challenges.
  • Monitor store materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Perform administrative duties such as respond to emails and donation inquiries, create volunteer nametags, store signage, and maintain contact lists.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Must be able to commute to Plymouth, MN to work onsite.
  • Retail, merchandising and customer service experience.
  • Understand merchandise trends, clothing brands and aspects of an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Superior interpersonal skills - ability to work with a variety of people and build trusting relationships.
  • Timely, dependable, and flexible.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently; be self-directed and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to understand and learn database (Point of Sale) programs quickly.
  • Ability to learn to operate electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and 2-wheel dolly (training provided, experience not required).
