The Assistant General Manager (AGM) position requires a high school diploma or higher-level education and 3 years of hotel front office experience with at least 1 year at a supervisory level. The manager is responsible for overseeing all front office and back of house personnel, overseeing front desk, reservations, guest services and telephone areas, and maintaining the proper appearance of the lobby and public areas. The AGM is also expected to be aggressive in pursuing the hotel's revenue goals and controlling expenses, ensuring guest satisfaction, leading and motivating front office team members, and demonstrating integrity and a positive work ethic. The AGM is responsible for daily end-of-day activity reports, training front desk personnel on the property management system, conducting performance reviews, and handling guest complaints. Additionally, keeping the highest level of standards to surpass guest expectation and ensuring the back of house team are performing at their peak at all times. Optimal attributes for this position include effective communication skills, a pleasing personality, being a good team player, being well-groomed, and having a professional appearance. Performance will be measured by budgeted REVPAR, MSI Index, Guest Service Index (GSS) and Associate Standard Index (ASI).
