The Executive Director of Nursing will lead and develop approximately 200 dedicated employees. This is a servant leadership role with strong business acumen. This position offers creative outlets to allow the freedom to implement new ways to lead, train, empower and strengthen the clinical capacities of the facility. The primary purpose of your position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance with company, federal, state standards guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility.

The Executive Director of Nursing (EDON) serves as a mentor to the nursing team and plays a key role in developing and growing their staff. This is a great opportunity for a strong nurse leader who is looking to take the next step in their professional career or for an experienced EDON looking to join a dynamic organization.

The EDON is a senior member of the facility leadership team, and actively participates in the oversight and establishment of best practices and standards for clinical services of the entire campus. The EDON manages the nursing teams in order for us to provide the highest quality of care and service for the patients. The EDON coordinates nursing with other patient care and support functions to assure optimum delivery of health care. The EDON provides leadership and guidance in establishing standards for nursing and other clinical services under his/her jurisdiction. The EDON leads Clinical and Quality Initiatives necessary to excel in overall star rating, regulatory performance and key clinical indicators of care delivery.

Other Essential Elements may include:

• Steer progressive clinical excellence through staff development and clinical excellence
• Shares responsibility for employee engagement, recruitment, and retention
• Provide nursing care to patients with acute and geriatric related conditions
• Actively assign nursing personnel, serve as a resource person for the nursing team
• Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures
• Ensure all regulatory requirements are met
• Create and implement schedule for safe staffing
• Serve as a mentor for the Director of Nursing and other Nursing Team members wishing to advance their career in Senior Healthcare
• Work collaboratively with hospital leadership and other departments in order to achieve the best patient outcomes

• Continuously grow, evolve and strengthen the Clinical Distinct Units with advanced Clinical Services as a foundational entity for nursing excellence, nursing engagement and commitment to safe outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN (or)
• MSN or equivalent master’s in healthcare or enrollment in a Master’s program required
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required
• 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience required.
• 3 or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity required
• Familiarity with Regulatory environment
• Three of these years of RN experience in rehabilitation nursing preferred
• Strong financial, operations, and business acumen skills.
• Experience leading in a rapidly evolving environment, role modeling agility
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
