As an important member of our Medicare Advantage Operations leadership team, you will execute strategies, programs, and supporting projects to enable operational excellence. You will be responsible for leading and developing the team to leverage industry best practices in continually improving claim encounter processes that meet the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory requirements. You will manage the systematic encounter process from claim ingestion to encounter reconciliation/reporting. You will be accountable for claims encounter regulatory reporting and data management while coordinating and directing the activities of business partners. This position is responsible for claim encounter data submissions to CMS and health plans as designated contractually. Salary Range: $84,300 - $166,700/annually

Qualifications

We’re seeking a self-motivated, goal-driven, service-oriented leader with: * Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care, or a combination of equivalent years of education, training, and experience * Five or more years in a Medicare/Managed Care environment managing claims or claim encounters * Proven success in building and leading a high-performing team * Experience leading and managing the claims encounter strategy/process * In-depth knowledge of encounter regulatory reporting and compliance requirements * Understanding of billing practices, CPT coding initiatives, ICD-10 coding standards, revenue, and HCPCS coding * Strong leadership skills. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, prioritizing, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Experience preparing and managing an operating budget * Understanding of provider network/IPA arrangements, reimbursement methodologies, and health benefit plan concepts * Expertise in identifying and delivering operational improvements * Ability to work independently as well as part of a highly-collaborative team * Ability to travel/attend off-site meetings and conferences UCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and dozens of primary care practices, specialty practices, urgent care centers, and other ancillary locations throughout metro Los Angeles.
