Job Responsiblities

Partnered with Kids Park Stansbury & Kids Park Academy. We offer ABA services consisting of specialized programs for children with behavioral or special needs, including autism, developmental delays, ADHD, and speech delays. You will be responsible for providing ABA based care to children focusing on language, self-help, and social skills. Classroom will be max 18 clients and will be supported by multiple ABA therapists running 1 on 1 sessions. Max ratio is 6 to 1. ABA training is provided.

Summary of the position:

Assistant Classroom Teacher- Hours include M-W 2-6:30 pm, TH & F 8:30 am-6:30 pm

We are looking to hire an attentive assistant childcare teacher to perform all duties necessary to ensure that children’s basic needs are taken care of. The childcare teacher’s responsibilities include feeding and grooming children, introducing children to new, age-appropriate hobbies, and sanitizing all toys and play areas. You will also receive training to be able to identify and address behavioral problems using ABA programs and strategies. To be successful as a childcare teacher, you should be able to maintain progress reports of all children under your care. Ultimately, an exceptional childcare teacher will cultivate a safe and loving environment that is conducive to growth and learning.

Assistant Childcare Teacher Requirements:

• Providing basic care for children which includes feeding, grooming, and changing diapers.
• Developing age-appropriate socialization skills in children.
• Encouraging positive behavior and good manners.
• Using various learning methods such as stories, games, and drawing to intellectually stimulate children.
• Identifying behavioral problems and following individualize Behavior Support Plans using appropriate strategies to address them.
• Attending staff meetings, conferences, and workshops.
• Providing a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment.
• Communicating with parents and providing updates on children’s progress.
• Work with administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing client life and conduct for the classroom.
• Assist the Behavior Technicians in crisis intervention and emergency response

Skills Needed-

• High school diploma or GED.
• Child care professional (CCP) certification is advantageous.
• Proven experience working as a childcare teacher.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
• Clear criminal background check.
• In-depth understanding of childhood development.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attentive and patient.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
