This is a great way to work with children without having a teaching license. The position is approximately 15 hours per week during the school year and more during 5 weeks of the summer. This position is NOT eligible for benefits and the rate of pay is $25.00 per hour.. The purpose of 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant is to provide services andactivities that help students improve in academics, attendance, behavior, promotion rates andgraduation rates.

The primary responsibility of the 21st CCLC Site Coordinator, under the supervision of theProgram Director, manages all operations at one school-based afterschool center.Reports To: Program Director and PrincipalCooperates With: LNSU Staff and Administration, all 21C staffPosition Goal: To create and oversee all elements that provide opportunities for children outside the regular school day in all of the following areas: Academic supportEducational enrichmentHealth and wellnessCharacter developmentPosition duties1.Create plans and recruit instructors to implement a variety of programs2.In collaboration with the program director, create and monitor a site budget to implement the above. 3.Work with program instructors to plan student expectations, and ensure those expectations are communicated effectively to students.4.Create brochures that effectively communicate the programs, schedules, and fee expectations to parents and children.5.Supervise all program assistants and student assistants to ensure effective instruction is taking place.6.Effectively address any behavioral issues that may arise when program instructors seek assistance.7.Ensure the program space, activities, transportation, and departure arrangements are safe and accessible to all students.8.Maintain database information and gather any data required for reports mandated by the supervisory union, the state, the federal government, or other funding sources. 9.Maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR.10.Attend professional development opportunities as needed. 11.Be visible and available to parents of the children, and schedule conferences if requested.

12.Participate in field trips and other special activities as needed.
