DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position reports to the Chief of the General Accounting Division. The incumbent directs and manages the staff and operations of one unit within the General Accounting Division of the Bureau of Accounting and Financial Management.

This individual must have an in-depth knowledge of professional accounting principles, techniques, and effective managerial practices in planning and directing the operations of the General Accounting unit in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may be expected to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements. Please keep in mind that while this is a full-time telework position, that can change at any time at the Governor's discretion. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as an Administrative Officer 3; or
  • Six years of experience in progressively responsible and varied officer management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, and procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
