BlackRock’s ETF and Index Investments business (EII) helps investors build better portfolios with the industry’s leading suite of index investment tools. Role Overview
We are seeking a teammate who is resourceful, organized, professional, and communicative to join the Americas iShares team. This role is to provide administrative support to the Head of U.S. Product Innovation, U.S. Head of Thematics and Active Equity ETFs, and Global Head of Sustainable Research (EII). The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative tasks and will be able to work well independently as well as in a team environment. The candidate must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting multiple executives.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic, keen individual for a team administration role within a fast-paced, dynamic team. This role would suit someone who is a quick-learner, able to prioritize, respond quickly, is able to multi-task and thrives in a busy environment. The core responsibilities will be:
Adapts well to changing plans and priorities; deals comfortably with ambiguity
Act as a gatekeeper; consistently demonstrates solid understanding of priorities and proactively manages calendars across multiple time-zones
Filters through requests independently and follows through on behalf of managers, when necessary
Responsible for coordinating large, complex meetings, administrating committee meetings/working groups on behalf of manager; maintain agenda, schedule meetings, take minutes and track follow-up items
Effectively builds relationships in a cordial and professional manner, consistently looks for new ideas to further develop working relationships and seeks opportunities to partner with colleagues throughout the firm
Processes monthly expense reports using Concur
Understands organizational policies and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed
Completes ad hoc administrative requests in a timely and thorough manner
Manages tasks proactively and efficiently to ensure seamless coverage for all supported staff
Qualifications
6+ years of administrative experience, preferably at a large global organization in the financial services industry
Demonstrates sound judgment and ability to reach decisions independently; focused on understanding the bigger picture – i.e., results oriented, rather than task oriented
Ability to work independently and assume additional responsibilities as required
A positive and ‘can-do’ attitude
Desire and ability to provide outstanding service to internal clients
Maintains focus with sense of urgency, while upholding respect for others
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook calendaring, Outlook email, etc.)
A high level of attention to detail
Discretion in dealing with confidential information in all aspects of work
Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as necessary
Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $110,000 which is the equivalent of $33.65 – $52.88 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees.
