Acorns Children's Hospice Trust are now looking for an Administration Officer to work closely with the Administration Manager to provide an efficient administration service within our Care Services. This is a part time role, working 30 hours per week.

About the Role

As Care Administration Officer, you’ll work with the Care Administration Manager to ensure that the administration service is efficient and effective and supports service delivery, service management and children and families. You’ll help to ensure that the Senior Leaders within Care Services have the support that they need. You’ll implement an annual plan of Care Services meetings and commitments, help to create new administration processes and procedures and support on special projects as needed.

You’ll complete general administration duties such as creating documents and reports, calendar management and producing agendas and minutes. You’ll also be needed to maintain databases and respond to emails within the team inboxes.

You’ll also provide cover for the Care Admin Manager and Central Administrator, when they’re on leave and they’ll do the same for you.

About You

You will have experience of working within a busy admin role and will be highly organised. You will have excellent written and verbal skills and experience of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel or other databases.

You’ll have a relevant secretarial or administration qualification such as RSA, Pitman or NVQ level 2 (or equivalent).

You’ll be part of the wider Care Admin Team that support all of our hospices, so you may be asked to provide support in any of our three hospices when needed (Walsall, Worcester or Selly Oak). There will also be some working from home.

You’ll innovative and excited about researching new ideas and sharing best practice.

You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. Any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children.
