What You’ll Take Ownership Of:
The Accounts Payable Specialist position plays an important role in the financial stability of Acme Tools. This position is responsible for:
- Reviewing, matching and processing purchase orders, invoices, and statements for payment
- Identifying, investigating, and resolving vendor account discrepancies
- Coding, verifying, and entering invoices
- Additional duties within the Corporate Accounting department
- Weekly meetings with management on progress and status of open issues
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Need-To-Haves:
- Exceptional attention to detail, data input, and accuracy
- Strong technology skills; Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to keep a high degree of confidentiality of information
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy as well as being a team player
- Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
Love-To-Haves:
- Associates’ Degree in Accounting, related field OR equivalent experience
- Prior direct accounts payable experience, including purchase order matching and disbursements to vendors
