Fox Valley Elevator, LLC is an industry leader & innovator of top-quality residential elevators & dumbwaiters. Our company also manufactures commercial dumbwaiters and serves both markets through a comprehensive national dealer network.

The Accounting Supervisor for Fox Valley Elevator will be responsible for the accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, payroll, benefits, and enhancement of the accuracy of the site’s reported financial results. This position will also maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Ensure accounting department is trained and operates in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Oversee operations of the accounting department, including an organizational structure adequate for achieving the departments goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting to the board.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Provide financial analyses as needed to guide management decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities.
  • Coordinate capital project proposals for board approval.
  • Provide oversight for Accounting functions.
  • Manage special projects, as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, required
  • CPA (active license), preferred
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience directing an accounting department, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customer and supplier counterparts as well as plant team members on all levels, on a daily basis
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite as well accounting/management software systems
  • Experience w/ Sage is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tax codes and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements as well as effectively write reports and present financial information
  • Ability to calculate financial figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value
  • Ability to evaluate financial alternatives and recognize and interpret financial trends and performance
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
