Job Brief

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting team and ensure that our processes run smoothly and efficiently. This includes oversight of receivables, payables, payroll and state and federal compliance for all of our company brands. This position will also support the finance team with month end closing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met. The Accounting Manager plays an integral role in ensuring our administrative operations run smoothly and offers support to other departments. Essential Job Functions and Requirements

  • Lead the day to day functions of the Corporate Services Accounting Team
  • Provide support and oversight for accounts payable and weekly check runs
  • Responsible for corporate credit card & employee expenses management
  • Provide support, oversight and backup for accounts receivable billings and collections
  • Review AIA pay applications and customer invoices
  • New customer credit review and approval
  • Job cost accounting, monthly reporting and project expense audits
  • Responsible for the accounting side of installation project closing process
  • Project tax status verification and sales tax review
  • Responsible for Subcontractor compliance and new subcontractor on-boarding
  • Support the finance team with month end closing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Responsible for contributing to office fun and promoting our core values
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the VP of Finance

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications; G-Suite knowledge a plus
  • Experience with accounting and project management software experience
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
  • Personable attitude, excellent phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and see projects through to completion
  • High School degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree a plus
  • Proficient in the English language

Working Conditions

This job operates in a clerical office setting and is sedentary in nature. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Involves frequent contact with staff and clients.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and/or other clients; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment. This job may include some lifting up to 25lbs. and other physical labor of moving hardware/equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
