Job description
Functioning within Van Wert Health’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for all aspects of sterile processing and maintaining sterilization records. This includes decontamination, inspecting and assembling instruments, disinfection of equipment, processing endoscopes and sterilization. The Sterile Processing Tech ensures equipment, instruments, and supplies can be reused safely to prevent infections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- International Association for Healthcare Central Service and Material Management (IAHCSMM) certification preferred or must obtain within 18 months from date of hire.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
