The principle duties of this position are to operate and set-up all conventional types of machine shop equipment and read and interpret complex work instructions and blue prints. Excellent social, planning and organizational skills are needed for a team oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine operation on a variety of CNC and manual machines to restore aero-engine turbine airfoil components to their original form, fit, and function.
• Make minor offset changes (if required) with oversight;
• Frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specification(s)
• Clock labor in Solumina;
• Perform preventative maintenance and document results;
• Document information on check sheets
• Keep dimensional data on run charts
• Complete Daily Walk Around (DWA) and utilize communication log.
• Keep work area and equipment clean;
• Maintain acceptable quality levels
• The person in this position will frequently move about the machine line in order to operate various manufacturing equipment (approximately 90% of the time). Transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Must be able to run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce product at rate per standard work.
• May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills
• Adhere to ACE guidelines and perform ACE duties as required
• Adhere to all EH & S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment
• You will set up and operate basic machine tools to repair, make minor alterations and make the less complicated tooling.
• You will need to read and understand blueprints and work from written and verbal instructions.
• We service and repair equipment associated with the area where problems are identified.
• You will assist in the development of other team members.
• We perform unrelated duties as may be necessary to support the needs of the facility.
• We perform job in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety rules, procedures and policies.
• You will complete tasks at the highest level of safety awareness

Basic Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts or permanent residency
• 1 year Machining experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with use of machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Work towards ACE Associates certification
• Craft clear communication

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
