The Heart of the Valley YMCA is hiring Youth Sports Officials. The Y offers youth sports programs for flag football, soccer, volleyball, basketball and more. Youth Sports Officials assist team coaches with teaching the fundamentals and rules while communicating effectively with participants. As a referee with the Y’s youth sports program, you’ll help our young athletes learn the game while maintaining a safe field. We provide a thorough training to make sure our officials are experts in all areas. Our sports officials work in an entertaining and positive environment.

This is a part-time entry-level position. Applicants should be 16 years or older. This position is both indoors and outdoors. Typical hours are weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Additional hours are available, if desired.

• Prior experience in sports is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience teaching games, sports, and other related youth activities is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with youth & teens participants, as well as volunteers.
