Camp Avoda, a not for profit overnight Jewish boys camp located in Middleboro, MA, is seeking an energetic Woodworking Instructor (male or female). Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the use of the woodworking shop facilities and operation of equipment and tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude for operation, maintenance and repair of shop machinery and equipment.
  • Practical knowledge of a wide variety of woods and woodworking materials.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the use and operation of shop equipment and tools and the safe handling of paints, varnishes, solvents and chemicals.
  • Ability to direct, guide and supervise campers of all ages.
  • The ability to demonstrate and teach campers how to appropriately and safely use hand tools and power tools.

Prior teaching and woodworking experience is required.

Camp season: 6/25/2023 to 8/16/2023.

Salary negotiable for the 8week season .

5 days weekly
