Wobbler (older infant) Teacher (ECE) RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wobbler is that wonderful age between baby and toddler. While still needing flexibility in the physical aspect of care, they are no longer infants and are able to express themselves much more. Starting to cruise and walk, babbling and sharing a lot of non-verbal communication, and starting to show complexity of thought when approaching new problems.

Your job will include encouraging creativity, fostering academic growth, and nurturing your tiny learners. Teaching wobblers (older infant) is a rewarding and fulfilling position for those who love children and the learning process, who have equal parts enthusiasm and patience, and who feel right at home with paint on their fingers and a storybook in their hands.

As a wobbler teacher, you are responsible for providing safe and developmentally appropriate programs that are aligned with your age group and milestones, as well as with our teaching approach. Implementing the Reggio Emilia Approach in an infant group allows infants to meet their potential and make discoveries at their own pace. It is teaching children and having the opportunity to see their thinking and growth on a daily basis.

  • Adapting daily routines to meet the interest and needs of the individual child and the group
  • Developing activities that promote age appropriate skills and milestones
  • Implementing activities that meet the ever changing physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of their students

  • Integrating special needs children in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Creating a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment.
  • Ensuring that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe
